La Route Richard Coeur de Lion
The “Route Richard Cœur de Lion” is a road of discovery located in the south-west of the Haute-Vienne.
The route is signposted with a symbol: a crowned lion with a heart pierced by an arrow, recalling the tragic fate of Richard the Lionheart at the Château de Châlus Chabrol, where his entrails are buried after he was fatally wounded by a crossbow bolt in 1199.
